Trek unveils wild tie dye paint on new project

Trek has taken its Project One personalized customization program to a whole new level with the addition of a new Tie Dye paint scheme to the ICON collection, bringing an even better riding experience and feel.

The finish is available across the range topping Madone, Domane and Émonda SLR models as well as the ebike Domane+ SLR, the Checkpoint SLR gravel bike and the Speedconcept triathlon bike.

To appeal to tie-dye traditionalists and modern colour lovers, Project One ICON Tie Dye will have six different options, ranging from the signature bright rainbow to pastel monochromatic options such as mystery grey and green juniper, as well as six different schemes in pastel pale pink, which means more choice for customers.

Starting mid-February 2023, Tie Dye livery from the ICON collection will be available on Madone, Domane SLR, emonda, Speed Concept, and Checkpoint, allowing design inspiration to run rampant. It will be personalized through the Project One service offered by Trek authorized dealers.

Trek are far from the only brand to offer custom paint as well as that being an option from almost any small custom bike builder such as Rourke or Wyndy Milla, larger brands such as Ribble also have paint customisation options on their websites. Though such services are not common place, Specialized for example, does not routinely offer custom paint schemes
